Using the Action Block

What are all the ways I can communicate with other members?
Lots of ways. On each members profile page you will see an Actions block that has all the various ways to communicate. To communicate with another member just click on one of the links on their Actions block. You can also leave a comment.

Some profiles have a "Chat Now" link on the Action block, some don't. what's the deal?
If a member is online you will see the "Chat Now" link, which will open an Instant Messenger application. The other member will receive a pop-up invitation to chat. Once they accept, you can chat in real-time. It you have a web cam you can share video. If you have a microphone you can also talk. If a member is not online you won't see the "Chat Now" link.

What's the difference between the "Chat Now" link in the Action block and the "Chat" button on the main menu?
In the Action Block the Chat Now link becomes visible when that member is online. Clicking it will open an instant messenger application and a popup for the other member. When they click the Accept button you will be connected. This is a private IM. The "Chat" button on the main menu goes to a public chat application where several members can chat at the same time.
